It Was a Wild Wednesday!

A Great Big THANKS to all
who helped make this craft day come together!
We had lots of crafts & delicious food- what more do we need??
The glass blocks with vinyl were a hit!

A Super Thanks to Ashley & Beth for their
cinnamon roll & fondue demonstrations.
They hit the spot!

Cinnamon Rolls by Ashley

1 and 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
2 Tbl. instant or rapid rise yeast
5-6 cups flour
1 Tbl. Vital wheat gluten

Directions:
1. Scald milk (that means you heat the milk in a saucepan until it almost boils).
2. Remove mild from heat and add butter, sugar, water & salt.
3. Let Cool to lukewarm.
4. Add eggs and whisk the mixture.
5. Pour mixture into standint mixer and add 1 cup of flour and mix.
6. Add Yeast and 2 more cups of flour.
7. Mix.
8. Slowly add more flour until the dough is soft and pulls awy from the side of the bowl.
9. Knead 7-8 minutes in the mixer on low.
10. Let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes.
11. Divide dough in half and roll each out into a large rectangle about 1/2 inches thick.
12. Spread melted butter on the rectangle.
13. Sprinkle with as much brown sugar as you want (at least 1/2 cup).
14. Sprinkle with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
15. Roll up tightly.
16. Cut with thread or dental floss.
17. Place on greased cookie sheet, cover and let rise until almost doubled.
18. Bake 13 minutes at 375 degrees.
19. Frost & enjoy!


Cream Cheese Frosting
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 stick of butter softened
16 oz. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
1. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
2. Beat in vanilla.
3. Slowly add powdered sugar while mixer is on low.
4. Refrigerate leftovers.

Swiss Fondue

From Cache Valley Cheese

1 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
3 Tbl. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
2 cups buttermilk
1 clove garlic
1 loaf French bread

Toss Swiss cheese with cornstarch, white pepper and nutmeg in saucepan or chaffing dish. Heat buttermilk with garlic clove over low heat. When hot, remove garlic and add Swiss cheese, stir constantly until cheese is melted. Serve from chaffing dish or casserole over a warmer.

Hot Fudge Sauce (For Fondue)

6 oz. chocolate chips
1 large can Sego milk
1 square butter
2 cups powdered sugar- add gradually


Cook (slow boil) on low for 8 minutes

Warm Clothing Drive

Kym Peterson is doing a warm clothing drive for her Young Women Value Project. The young Women will be collecting warm winter clothes such as coats, hats, scarves, gloves, etc. If you have any of these that are in good shape, please help by putting them in a bag and set them on your porch by 5:30 PM on Wednesday, September 17th. A group of Young Men & Young Women will pick them up.

General Relief Society Broadcast

The Pleasant Valley Stake will be serving a
Light Dinner at 5:00 p.m.
at the Stake Center, followed by the
General Relief Society Broadcast
at 6:00 p.m.
Talks will be given by the
General Relief Society Presidency.
Church Dress.
General Conference will be October 4th-5th, 2008.
The past April conference, a fun Conference Packet
for children was emailed all around.
